Richard Molina, a Mayor of Edinburg, Texas, was arrested for vote fraud for trying to attempt to rig his own election. Richard and his wife, Dalia are charged with illegal voting and may by punishable by two to twenty years in jail.
He was elected as the mayor when he defeated Richard Garcia after winning by more than 1200 votes in the election.
Richard and his wife are accused of asking voters to change their addresses to places they didn’t live and according to Attorney General’s office, more than 16 people have been arrested who took part in the scheme.
