Born on August 5, 1966, James Gunn is an American screenwriter, director, producer, actor and musician who started his career as a screenwriter writing the scripts for Tromeo and Juliet (1996), Scooby-Doo (2002). He is mainly known for writing and directing the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Guardians of the Galaxu and Gaurdians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

He has become a center of attraction when he was fired by Disney from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise following the discovery and circulation of several old tweets in which he displayed gross humor and made jokes about rape. For more information, read the article below.
